Israeli atrocities on Palestinian Muslims have been going on for decades, but what has happened to the people of Gaza since October last year has raised eyebrows all over the world. Even the major countries of the world are silent on it, France's role among European nations is important. They have taken a bold stand. But the expectations that were being placed on Muslim countries have not been fulfilled. The Iranian government is raising its voice for the oppressed of Palestine. In Pakistan, the people and opposition parties are holding meetings, processions and rallies for Palestinian Muslims. Of course, the impression that is given around the world is that the people are awake, but the silence from the government is very surprising. At present, the atrocities have exceeded their limits. Gaza has been completely destroyed, the restoration of which is also the most difficult process. Although Hamas and Hezbollah have become very weak, the plan of America and Israel does not seem to be successful either.
Senator Taj Haider, a founding member and senior leader of the People's Party, has passed away. His association with the party was the longest. He remained associated with the party from the inception of the party till the end and played the role of an active worker. He got the opportunity to work with Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Begum Nusrat Bhutto, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The late Taj Haider rendered the highest services in terms of policy-making. He was also known for art, culture and literature. He was associated with Pakistan Television as a playwriter and his family has a place in the academic and literary field. His father, Professor Syed Karrar Hussain, was the Vice Chancellor of Balochistan University and earned a lot of fame. He was appointed to Balochistan University by special request. Taj Haider's funeral prayers were offered at the Imambargah Yathrib of Karachi Defense, while he was buried in the premises of Abdullah Shah Ghazi's mausoleum. It is surprising that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did not attend the funeral of such an important leader.
In Karachi, the killing of motorcyclists by dumpers and then the burning of dumpers by the public is becoming a routine practice. The wonder is that incidents are happening one after another but why is it not decreasing? Why has the traffic police not been able to stop such drivers who fail to follow traffic rules in the city? The police should check the drivers of heavy traffic to see if they are unable to drive due to the use of intoxicants. Blood tests should be conducted on drivers who are addicted to intoxicants and their driving licenses should be cancelled. Motorcyclists should also take care to avoid zigzag bike riding. Restrict riding in one lane. After these incidents, the element of extremism has also increased, the public immediately gets angry and the vehicle is burned.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman spent a busy time in Karachi and met people from different walks of life. Meetings with journalists and lawyers were important . Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who has a large number of workers, but does not currently hold an effective position in politics, is not fully part of the opposition and the current government coalition used him well for two years and ultimately did not include him in power. He was fully in opposition against the PTI government, then the PML-N and the PPP gave him the presidential seat but he was forgotten in the power-sharing arrangement. Maulana Fazlur Rehman, despite being the most intelligent politician, could not succeed in getting his share from Mian Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari. Now the PTI does not fully trust him and he also has reservations. Maulana Fazlur Rehman is currently going through an uncertain period of his political journey where he is facing fears and threats. Several leaders of his party have been killed.
The Sindh Governor and the Karachi Mayor have been engaged in a verbal exchange for a long time, but finally both have been reconciled and have agreed to work together. The problem for both is that the parties are different, but both represent the Urdu-speaking community, so there was a personal difference. In Sindh province, the governorship is given to a representative of the Urdu community, while the Sindh Chief Minister has always belonged to the interior of Sindh. The situation was different for the mayor of Karachi, Jamaat-e-Islami and MQM got a chance. The PPP appointed an unelected administrator. This was the first time that the PPP got a chance to elect its mayor. Despite all the objections, the PPP also elected a mayor from the Urdu-speaking community. Karachi has many problems, but even the governor and the mayor together could not get Karachi out of its problems. The vote bank of Karachi is still not with the MQM and the PPP.
As the heat intensifies in Karachi, water shortage is becoming apparent. The water tanker mafia, which has thousands of tankers, can deliver water to any area of the city on time at any time and charge exorbitant prices. But it is not easy for the public to get line water. Water shortage in Karachi is created to increase its price, those who pay the price get water on time.
The Textile Asia exhibition was successfully held. Business people from many countries participated in it. Holding such exhibitions is necessary for the revival of the economy.
The Prime Minister has assured the Chief Minister of Sindh that the construction of Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway will begin soon. Along with this, the Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway should also be improved.
